Iron Ore
A low, gray rock formation with rust-brown ore through it.
Bring: Bronze Pickaxe or better
A Stone or Copper Pickaxe cannot mine iron. Equip the assembled pickaxe; a forged head on its own is not a tool.

This is an alternative to highland iron. Two Bog Iron and one Charcoal make one Iron Ingot at a Smelter.

A cluster of pointed black-and-violet glass, distinct from the large dark scenery cliffs.
Bring: A pickaxe
Look for the separate glass cluster. An empty patch may already have been mined; look around the region rather than hitting a scenery cliff.
Start with wood and fiber. A Stone Pickaxe can gather copper.
Mine tin here, or use a Panning Tray at water edges for Tin Grains.
For iron, equip a finished Bronze Pickaxe or a higher tier.
Bog Iron is another route to Iron Ingots. It also needs a Bronze Pickaxe or better.
Look for mineable black-and-violet glass clusters. Ember Cores come from the Cinder Colossus, not from mining.
Bring a Steel Pickaxe. Check current meteorite information in your own realm.
